Giving the basics is a hygiene hub providing basic hygiene and cleaning products to registered and approved locations.
Your support makes it possible to eliminate humiliation, promote learning and offer hope. When you embrace Giving the Basics you embrace human dignity for all people.
With your help, Giving the Basics provides the necessities of life, not covered by government assistance programs, that most people take for granted such as laundry soap, shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper and other personal care hygiene products.

Need to Know:
It is a requirement that every volunteer attending our facility have an account and sign our online waiver.
Groups with children under 12 years old need to have one adult per every five children. If they are 12 to 16 years old there needs to be one adult per every ten children.
Attire: Please have everyone wear comfortable work clothing. Close-toed shoes are required. Please expect to be integrated into a working warehouse/outdoor environment. if you are working a pick-up day, dress appropriately and expect to be both inside and outside.

When you arrive, Giving the Basics staff will be there to meet you. We'll get everyone signed in, have a short presentation about the agency, stroll through a quick warehouse tour, and then get to work.
