Construction Management Degree

Offered through the Metropolitan Community College Business & Technology College and the Builders’ Association, this degree is for you if you want to become a

construction supervisor, construction superintendent, project manager, general construction manager, or you already have one of these positions but seek a degree to compliment your skills and training.

This degree provides you with classroom instruction and on-the-job training to reach your career goals - exactly the type of training employers are seeking.  You will experience a very interactive learning environment.  Classes are kept small for personal instruction and you will get dedicated instructors and excellent student services at an affordable cost. As a full-time student, it takes two years to complete the degree, and credits from this degree transfer to the University of Central Missouri’s Bachelor of Science Degree in Technology Management.

Construction Specialty courses are held at the Builders’ Association Education & Training Center in the evenings year round. The majority of the courses are taught two nights a week for five weeks. That means you can complete all of your Construction Management courses in just one year!  The General Education courses may be taken at any MCC location.

Associate of Applied Science
Industrial Technology (Construction Options)

This degree is a combined apprenticeship program/associate degree program offered through the Builders’ Association, participating crafts and MCC Business & Technology College. It allows you to earn your apprenticeship and an associate degree at the same time. Some of the most sought-after, well-paid people in the country are those with

construction skills - even without a degree. The combination of these skills and a degree are an indispensable career asset that will increase your opportunities to get ahead in the construction industry.  Apprentices and journeypersons  can earn 30 free college credits for having completed a federally approved apprenticeship program from one of the following participating crafts: bricklayers, carpenters, cement masons, glaziers, iron workers, and painters.

Should you want to pursue a higher degree, the credits from this degree count as the first two years in the University of Central Missouri’s Bachelor of Science Degree in Technology Management.
