The Builders’ Association welcomes new marketing director

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Aug. 17, 2020 – Angela Crawford has joined The Builders’ Association as Marketing Director.

“Angela has more than a decade of experience in crafting marketing strategy, as well as the technical expertise in communications and content development. We will continue to evolve The Builders’ Association’s brand for the future,” said Don Greenwell, The Builders’ Association President. “I look forward to her innovations and being a member of our team.”

Crawford holds a Master’s degree in Communication from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, Public Administration from Truman State University. She previously served as a Communications Consultant for Lockton Companies, developing marketing solutions for internal stakeholders and shaping digital communication initiatives.

“The Builders’ Association is positioned to become an innovative leader in marketing for the construction industry,” Crawford said. “I’m thrilled to collaborate with staff and members on new ways to bring value to our membership.”

Crawford lives in the heart of Kansas City with her beloved dogs Tommy and Mikey. A dedicated volunteer, she has served as President of the Truman State University Kansas City Alumni Chapter since 2014. She provided strategic planning and public relations support for Community LINC, a nonprofit group providing transitional housing for homeless Kansas City families, and for nearly a decade she served as a Big Sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas. Currently, Crawford mentors elementary students for the Kansas City MLB Urban Youth Academy’s Raising Royals After School program, an initiative aimed at empowering Kansas City's underserved youth to be the leaders of tomorrow through baseball and softball, as well as academic and social opportunities.

Chris Stanton, Chairman of The Builders’ Association Board and Vice President of Preconstruction for McCownGordon Construction, said Crawford’s marketing perspective will help the association adapt to and embrace opportunities for change.

“We’re pleased to welcome Angela to The Builders’ Association. I have no doubt her leadership will help us develop best-in-class marketing services for the construction industry and our members,” he said.
